Inmate back in custody after walking from Incline work crew

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. (KOLO) - 30-year-old Steven Timothy Gant was found at the Hyatt in Incline Village just after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. He is on his way back to the correctional center and will not be allowed back onto a work crew.

The Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC) was asking the public to be on the lookout for the minimum security inmate, who walked from a work detail in the forest north of Lake Tahoe Tuesday afternoon.

He had been housed at the Stewart Conservation Camp in south Carson City, and was on a work detail near Incline Village with Nevada Division of Forestry (NDF). He walked away around 2 p.m. January 2, 2017.
