Kootenai County Jail low on beds, room for inmates |

KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho. - There's no shortage of commotion inside the Kootenai County Jail. There's also no shortage of inmates. "We hit a big number of the weekend on the 18th of February," said KCSO Captain Kim Edmondson. "We have 471 inmates in our jail and we have 327 beds." Over the weekend, 94 inmates were taken to other jails in Washington and Idaho at a cost of $60 per inmate per day. Read More. |
