Decatur inmate escaped from Huntsville work site |

A Madison County inmate escaped from the Decatur Work Release Center Tuesday night, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections. Kelvin D. Scruggs, 23, left from his assigned job location in Huntsville around 8:20 p.m., corrections officials said. He was last seen wearing a red toboggan, red T-shirt, blue jeans, a black jacket and white shoes with red trim, officials said. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison in May 2016 after he was convicted of first-degree assault. Read More. |
