| Craven Correctional administrator named to state post |

The Craven Correctional Institution Administrator has been named by The Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice as the new Eastern Regional director for Prisons. Larry Dail was named to the position on Wednesday. Dail, 64, has spent 35 years in prisons. He replaces Annie Harvey, who was promoted to deputy director of Prisons on July 31, 2017. The Eastern Region consists of 12 prisons, including the Pasquotank prison where four inmates staged an escape attempt last year, and the Windsor prison, where a correctional officer was killed.
