| Inmate accused of assaulting nurse sentenced |

An inmate at SCI-Houtzdale who sprayed bodily waste on a prison nurse pleaded guilty and was sentenced to serve 21-42 months in state prison yesterday by Judge Paul Cherry at yesterday’s session of colloquy (sentencing) court. Richard E. Winghart Jr., 28, of SCI-Houtzdale, pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated harassment by a prisoner — both of which are felonies of the third degree. Cherry also made his sentence consecutive to any sentence Winghart is serving. Winghart said he is currently serving a 5-10 year sentence. Read More. |
