Woman accused of plotting inmate's jail escape |

A Mercer County woman is facing a $25,000 cash bond for what police say, was an attempt to break an inmate out of jail. 20 year old Selena Blankenship is facing charges for plotting a felony escape. According to the Mercer County Sheriff's Department, they received a tip about a plot to break out William Skeens, an inmate at the Southern Regional Jail. The escape was scheduled around the time Skeens had a preliminary hearing, close to 8 in the morning. Chief Deputy Parks says the Sheriff's Department cannot provide any details about how Blankenship planned to break Skeens out of jail, due to the security and transporting of prisoners. Read More. |
