Escaped inmate back in custody |

An inmate who escaped from the Troup County Jail last week is now in custody. Escaped inmate Eric Bell was taken into custody on Hamilton Rd. in LaGrange Friday morning after one resident spotted him walking in the area and called police, according to Sgt. Stewart Smith public information officer with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office. Bell was taken into custody without incident. Last Wednesday, Bell and Thomas Christopher Cuddington escaped from the Troup County Jail by climbing down from a drain pipe in the front of the Troup County Sheriff’s Office around 11 p.m. Read More. |
