| Escaped Mississippi inmate captured after 5 days on the run, two arrested for aiding and abetting |

MADISON COUNTY, Ms. (WJTV) - (12/11/18) Sheriff Randy Tucker says escaped inmate Todd Moudy was located in an abandoned house on Highway 43 not far from where he ditched a stolen transport van and not far from his own residence. The Sheriff says Moudy's fiancee and her mother helped him hide from authorities. Both Taylor Furrh (24) and Rebecca Furrh (55) have been charged with aiding and abetting. Moudy faces a laundry list of additional charges including; destruction of government property, assault on an officer, felony flight and auto theft. The department says the man also had a bag of meth on him when he was brought back to the jail so, possession charges will be added to the list. Tucker says this is the first time during his administration there's ever been an escape. He says the department is reviewing its' procedures. He also says the deputy in question will be reprimanded but would not discuss specifics, citing it as a personnel issue. Read More. |
