The squirrel is back in his cage.
Sedalia cops captured Travis Lee Davis, 30, early this morning after he spent nearly ten days crisscrossing rural Missouri and Oklahoma.
Davis, who has a long criminal record and the Eye of Providence tattooed on his throat, had escaped on March 9 from the Pettis County Jail, which is in Sedalia, by climbing into the ceiling and then crawling through the rafter into a maintenance room and then outside. He was briefly taken into custody outside a gas station casino in Heavener, Oklahoma, but managed to steal a police car and escape again, according to law enforcement.
