The death of an inmate serving a two-year sentence at a federal facility in Saskatoon is under review by Correctional Services Canada.

Benjamin Toutsaint died at the Regional Psychiatric Centre (RPC) on May 18, according to Correctional Services Canada (CSC). Toutsaint, 32, began serving a two-year sentence for assault on Oct. 25, 2018, CSC said Tuesday in a news release.

CSC said it would “review the circumstances” of Toutsaint’s death, and that its policy is to notify the coroner’s office.
