School Gunman Attempted Suicide
By Associated Press
Published: 02/12/2001

A teen-ager in prison for a school shooting was trying to kill himself when he swallowed an antidepressant drug in his cell last week, authorities said. The 17-year old was found unconscious last Tuesday after taking Elavil, a mood-altering drug that had not been prescribed for him. He was reported to be awake and in stable condition as of February 2.
'We're now treating it as a suicide attempt,' said Scott Stallings, a Corrections Department spokesman.
Investigators said they are trying to determine how Solomon got the drug.
Solomon is serving a 40-year sentence at Arrendale State Prison for wounding six classmates at a suburban Atlanta high school in 1999.
He pleaded guilty but mentally ill. An expert testified he suffered from a personality disorder and fantasized about copying the killings at Columbine High.

A wrongful death is a claim against a third party that is brought in a civil lawsuit for money damages. There are many state statutes that provide for the people who can bring those actions and what damages that those people can obtain. When a family member dies because of another person, it is a scary. It can be hard to make decisions. If you have a Waco wrongful death, then you should call Dunnam & Dunnam. They have answers. They are compassionate and experienced fatal accident lawyer that can help you understand the laws and provide free case evaluations.
