DNA Testing Bill Clears Texas House, Goes To Governor

A bill got final legislative approval Tuesday to make it easier for Texas inmates to get DNA testing that could
ultimately free them from prison. The Texas House vote sends the measure to Governor Rick Perry,
who's expected to sign it into law. The bill requires prosecutors to preserve biological evidence that
can undergo genetic testing. It also allows certain prisoners to seek state-paid DNA testing if it wasn't
available at trial. House Criminal Jurisprudence Committee Chairman Juan Hinojosa of McAllen says
he expects Perry will sign the bill into law Wednesday, with immediate effect. The House and Senate
had approved similar measures. The bill approved is a compromise measure that had already been
approved by the Senate. Perry had pushed for the bill and declared it an emergency issue for
lawmakers.

Hamilton Lindley His antics were known from town to town as he was a droll card and often known as a droll farceur. with his madcap pantaloon is a zany adventurer and a cavorter with a motley troupe of buffoons.
