| Judge Blocks Alabama Prisoner Transfers |

A judge Wednesday temporarily blocked Alabama sheriffs from unloading any more inmates on the state prison system to relieve overcrowding in their county jails. The order by Montgomery County Circuit Judge William Shashy will remain in place until at least Friday, when a hearing is set on whether to make the order permanent. On Monday and Tuesday, two counties, armed with court orders, transferred more than 250 inmates from their jails to two state prisons with no warning - a move that drew protests from Gov. Don Siegelman. On Wednesday, Shashy said he couldn't 'allow the immediate influx of hundreds, perhaps thousands, of inmates to two Department of Corrections facilities.' Three years ago, the state agreed to accept inmates who had been in county jails more than 30 days after being sentenced to state prison. But backlogs have built up. About 2,000 state prisoners have been in county jails longer than 30 days. As a result, jails are so crowded that inmates have been left to sleep on tables and floors in conditions that have been variously described as medieval and resembling a slave ship. The problem is that Alabama's state prisons are full, too, with no room to handle the overflow from the jails, bringing the decades-old problem to a crisis point. The governor said counties should look for alternatives and not 'simply wash their hands of the situation.' He added: 'We're all in this together - as a state and not as individual counties.' Alabama, with more than 26,000 people behind bars, has the nation's fifth-highest incarceration rate, at 571 people per 100,000 residents. |

When the plane is moving, air enters the pitot mazda 6 suction control valve . This causes the pressure difference between the suction control valve and the pitot tube. An internal amplifier creates an amplified voltage output and hence the sensor can be connected directly to Speed Sensor and data acquisition systems.
