The WCA Scholarship Committee consists of Jewel Volk, chairperson; Carm Gentrup, co-chair; Conrad Reedy and Tim Nelson.  The Committee reviews all of the applications and the recipients are determined by academics, financial need, community participation or activities, and goal (purpose) statement.  This years recipients were:  Molly O’Keefe - $750, Emily Bortz - $750, and Wanda (Fude) Larson - $500.

Molly is a senior in college at UW Stout.  She is specializing in Vocational Rehabilitation with an emphasis on Criminal Justice.  She hopes to pursue a career with the state as a probation and parole agent.

Emily is from Portage, WI and is currently a senior in college at UW Madison.  She started an internship at Mendota Treatment Center on May 15^th, working with juvenile offenders in a rehabilitative setting.

Wanda is from Waupun, WI and is beginning her Business Administration Degree at Marian College in Fond du Lac.  She is presently employed by the D.O.C. where she hopes to one day fulfill her goal of becoming warden.
