Day 14: Getting your Foot in the Door

A couple of my friends are very interested in the field of criminal justice. Since I’m an intern at Corrections.com, they ask for my advice on how to get their foot in the door and what steps they should take to get to where they want to be. Since I’m not a criminal justice major, and before this internship I knew next to nothing about the field, I decided to investigate for myself so as to be able to provide them with an educated answer. Day 2: Where is Corrections?

If you’ve seen the popular show “Law and Order,” you’ve heard the opening narration.

“In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police, who investigate crime; and the district attorneys, who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories.”
