| Judge orders Anfinson to prison in son's death |

Mike Anfinson watched a Polk County judge sentence his wife, Heidi, to up to 50 years behind bars Thursday in the death of their infant son. He ducked back into the courtroom as bailiffs were about to take his wife away in handcuffs again. Try as he had, there was no moving on from their son's death more than a decade ago. "Heidi was just a mother," he said. "I should be to blame, too. I was his father. I was there. But I saw what I wanted to see." Heidi Anfinson spent nine years of a previous 50-year sentence at the women's prison in Mitchellville for the drowning death of 2-week-old Jacob.
