Training underway for new surveillance cameras at Tutwiler |

WETUMPKA, AL (WBRC) - The lack of a camera surveillance system was just one deficiency at Tutwiler Prison for Women that directly contributed to sexual abuse of inmates, cited the U.S. Department of Justice earlier this year in a scathing report. As of Thursday, 325 new cameras have been installed at Tutwiler and prison staff is undergoing training on best practices and policies for the system. Andie Moss, founder of the Moss Group, a national corrections consulting group hired by ADOC to help reform Tutwiler, calls the policy surrounding the new surveillance system "evolving." Read More. |
