Garrett Terrell Shields, 44, who fled a Floyd County Prison work details on Trimble Way in eastern Floyd County Thursday afternoon. Dobbins said that dog teams followed a scent into a wooded area off Trimble Way in the area of the Shoals ferry subdivision, but eventually lost the trail. The U.S. Marshal's service fugitive squad was called in to assist in the manhunt. Local investigators continued with the search until almost 1:30 Friday morning according to Dobbins. Read More. |
