Escaped inmate caught in Griffin

An inmate who escaped from working a detail outside the Jackson County Correctional Institute in Jefferson and drove off in a county vehicle was captured last night at about 7:45 p.m. in Griffin, Ga., according to authorities.

Michael Lillibridge, 36, was working detail with the road department on Thursday when he walked off, Jackson County Warden Johnny Weaver said.
