Ohio probe shows $40,000 missing from state prison accounts |

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A state inspector general's investigation has found more than $40,000 missing from state accounts at a central Ohio prison. An inspector general's statement Thursday says the investigation began after Department of Rehabilitation and Correction officials reported employees at Southeastern Correctional Complex in Lancaster couldn't account for $15,000 in state funds. Corrections officials reported an employee resigned after being questioned about a $500 check drawn on a state account created by the employee and then cashed. Read More. |
