| Escapee From Salem Correctional Center Found Within Hours |

The West Virginia Division of Corrections is investigating an escape from the Salem Correctional Center on Friday night. Douglas Kidd, 29, was serving a sentence at the medium/minimum security facility related to drugs when he left the facility at approximately 9:15 p.m. Friday, according to Lawrence Messina, communications director for the West Virginia Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety. Kidd was apprehended in Salem shortly after midnight by a DOC employee, so it was just a matter of hours that he was gone, Messina said. Read More. |
