Victims' rights could soon include notification |

ILLINOIS -- Some lawmakers want victims of sexual assault notified when their offenders are released from prison. But, some of those victims could receive even more advanced warning. Victims would be notified almost immediately if their offender's sentenced changes or if they're released. Advocates for sexual assault victims say it's never too early to know when someone is heading back into the community again. "What we often hear are the stories of victims who didn't know their rapist was out." Sean Black works for the Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault.
