Escaped inmate charged in wreck that killed two expected in court Thursday |

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —The escaped inmate charged in a wreck that killed two elderly women in Birmingham is expected in court Thursday. Martin Jay Creaseman is charged with two counts of reckless murder, theft of property and obstruction of justice in connection to the fatal accident on April 22. Deanie Lovell, 92 and Linda Jones, 69 were killed in a wreck on Crestwood Boulevard on their way to a bible study at Avondale Methodist. Birmingham Police said on the day of the accident, Creasman stole a truck a from a nearby dealership, ran a red light on Crestwood Boulevard and clammed into a car killing Lovell and Jones.
