| 64-year-old inmate serving time for weapons charges dies |

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Authorities say a 64-year-old inmate in a Nevada prison on weapons charges has died. The Nevada Department of Corrections said Monday that Larry Dial died Sunday at the Carson Tahoe Hospital in Carson City after being treated at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center regional medical facility. Prison officials say Dial had been in prison for less than a year and was serving two consecutive sentences of 28 to 72 months for having a firearm despite being an ex-felon.
