A convicted rapist shook hands with the governor Monday night as both men celebrated together.

Jose Rodriguez, president of INnovators Club #4362, is serving a 40- to 50-year sentence at the State Penitentiary for first-degree sexual assault. Gov. Pete Ricketts is serving four years and nearly two million Nebraskans as the state’s executive.
