Officials admit to jail security issues after inmates escape |

INDIANOLA, Iowa —Two inmates escaped from the Warren County Jail early Monday morning by manipulating a cell door lock. Officials arrested one escapee, 26-year-old Frank Manders, Monday afternoon, but 29-year-old Darian Crayton is still missing. Now, many questions are being raised about security at the jail and leaders at the Warren County Jail and Courthouse admit there is a problem. The inmates most likely didn’t consider the political debate their escape would lead to. Experts have said for years that the jail, which is on the third floor of the courthouse, should be closed.
