MESA COUNTY, Colo. - Law enforcement are searching for a correctional facility escapee who's been connected to the suspicious death of a local man. Barbara Blanton-Marez, 39, escaped from Mesa County Community Corrections on Friday. Officials with the local Sheriff’s Office said she's associated with the residence of 2976 Globe Willow Avenue where the man was found dead on Monday. “There were a number of people who lived in the area as well as inside the home, and many of them came and spoke with investigators,” said Sheriff’s public information officer Heather Benjamin. “Barbara was the only one we were not able to connect with.” Read More. |
