| Cinemax show 'Banshee' films at former SCI-Greensburg |

A long-shuttered state prison in Hempfield came back to life for a day this week as film crews for the Cinemax TV show “Banshee” descended on the grounds of the former SCI-Greensburg. The drama, scheduled to air on Cinemax beginning in January, revolves around the exploits of actor Anthony Star as Lucas Hood, an ex-con and master thief masquerading as sheriff of the fictional town of Banshee, Pa. Location manager James Mahathy wouldn't divulge any details of the episode that filmed in Hempfield beyond saying it had a prison scene. “And you guys just happen to have a closed prison.
