| County board approves inmate work crew program |

The Cheboygan County Board of Commissioners recently approved initiation of the Inmate Work Crew Program, which kicked off at the beginning of June through the Cheboygan County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Dale Clarmont appeared before the county board on May 26 with his plans for program. The prior inmate work crew serving the community was funded with grants through the Michigan Offices of Community Corrections. The program was eliminated by the state. Read More. |
