LINCOLN — Two inmates killed in a May 10 riot at the Tecumseh state prison died from “blunt force” injuries to their heads, according to official death certificates obtained Tuesday. The inmates died within minutes of the injuries, the death certificates indicated, after each was struck with an object. A county attorney probing the deaths said Tuesday that she could not comment on what kind of objects might have been used or if the two inmates had been tortured or suffered other injuries during the rampage.
