TVA line failure leaves Limestone prison without power |

Officials say the Limestone Correctional Facility has been relying on generators for power most of the week. The prison experienced a power outage on Tuesday as the result of an external power source failure. As of Thursday night, generators are still powering the prison, including emergency lighting, said Alabama Department of Corrections spokesman Bob Horton. ADOC has two contractors working on the problem, he said. The line that failed belongs to the Tennessee Valley Authority. Read More. |
