| 2 Oregon inmates thwarted in escape attempt |

SALEM, Ore. (AP) - The Oregon Department of Corrections says two female inmates tried to escape Monday. Spokeswoman Elizabeth Craig says 47-year-old Christina Davidson and 31-year-old Nichole Whitaker ran away from their prison jobs at the agency's main warehouse for food and supplies in Salem. Craig says several staff members chased the women down and held them until law enforcement arrived. Read More. |
