A 28-year-old Northern Nevada inmate imprisoned in January died after hanging himself on Friday, the Nevada Department of Corrections said. Billy Williams of Pershing County died at the mental health unit in the prison’s medical center, NDOC said in a release on Monday. He was found in his single cell. Williams was imprisoned on Jan. 22 and was serving six to 15 years for attempted sexual assault and attempted robbery, NDOC said.
