State auditor recommends analysis of Ohio prison system's vehicle fleet as way to reduce costs |

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The state auditor is recommending Ohio's prison system collect data on its fleet of hundreds of vehicles as a way to cut costs. Auditor David Yost says the agency should study vehicle mileage and use, maintenance and repair expenses, and fuel use and expenses. Yost also recommends the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction put in place a system that allows the agency to continually track vehicle use. Read More. |
