Inmate: Argument started fatal incident |

WATERLOO — In a 35-minute interview, the former Five Points Correctional Facility inmate accused of killing his cellmate said the incident started because of a fight over a mattress. The video of Brian Karris was played during a suppression hearing Tuesday in Seneca County Court. Karris, 38, is charged with second-degree murder in the Dec. 14, 2013, death of Thomas Blancke, 24, at the Corrections officers found Blancke dead about 6 a.m. in the cell he shared with Karris. One of those officers, Anthony Edick, testified at the hearing. Edick said he went to Karris’ cell after another officer told him something was wrong. Read More. |
