Dozens of corrections worker jobs to be cut |

ANNAPOLIS, Md. —The Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services will lose dozens of jobs, and some workers are angry and scared, saying they consider the handling of the cuts a slap in the face. The plan is expected to be finalized Thursday at the state Board of Public Works meeting. Emily Eubanks, a DPSCS human resource specialist, is among 63 people who learned unceremoniously that their positions will be eliminated in 60 days. "I have a mortgage, I have a car payment, I have car insurance, gas and electric, I have my telephone bill, I have a pet," she said. "It was like a slap in my face.
