| Corrections industry career fair today |

Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College is hosting a Corrections Career Fair from 2-6 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 19, in the amphitheater and student commons area on campus. The event is open to the public and admission is free. The Corrections Career Fair is designed to provide information about the wide range of career opportunities available in the Corrections industry. According to Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry statistics, the average wage of correctional officers in northeastern Minnesota is $22.96 per hour. Representatives from 15 local, regional, state, and federal corrections agencies and organizations will be present to discuss current and future job openings and the type of training and background qualified applicants should possess.
