Authorities find missing Madison Co. inmate |

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) Police found the man who escaped the Pendleton Correctional Facility at a gas station in Steuben County less than 24 hours after he escaped. Pendleton officials said Charles R. Adams, 28, walked away from the facility’s outside dormitory around 9:15 p.m. Sunday. The area is a minimum security complex. Steuben County Sheriff Tim Troyer said Adams was found at the gas station on I-69 and US 20 around 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Deputies were first dispatched to CR 150 South and Golden Lake Road after a silver SUV was seen going off the road and hitting some small trees and bushes. Read More. |
