Latest inmate to die in Anchorage jail was there for community work service violation Kellsie Green, a 24-year-old Mat-Su Valley woman who died at Anchorage Regional Hospital yesterday after spending several days at the Anchorage jail, had been arrested for failing to perform 80 hours community work service, according to a municipal prosecutor. Green was found guilty on March 17 of driving with a license that had been suspended or revoked, according to court papers. She was placed on probation and ordered to perform a mandatory 80 hours of work service, said Seneca Theno, municipal prosecutor. Green asked to complete the work in Wasilla. A judge granted that request on June 11. She had 120 days to complete it but failed to do so, Theno said. Read More. |
