CANTON — An inmate at the Gouverneur Correctional Facility pleaded guilty to forgery Wednesday in St. Lawrence County just before he was to be headed to trial. Robert A. Horton, 39, pleaded guilty to felony second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, moments before jury selection was to begin for his trial. Riendeau said. No commitment has been made to what his sentence will be. He faces up to seven years in prison as a second felony offender. Read More. |
