| Convicted sex offender found dead in prison shower, officials say |

A 33-year-old inmate was found dead in a shower at the Lincoln Correctional Center Wednesday afternoon, according to the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services. Prison staff found Charles A. Gipson on the floor of the housing unit shower with a belt around his neck about 1:30 p.m., a department release said.
