Michael Padayachee - sentenced to 24 years behind bars for the 2012 brutal rape of his former lover, plus attempted kidnapping, assaulting their baby and the unrelated assault on a man in a tavern - is logged onto social media from his Westville prison cell. Most of his posts are shared from Reaction Unit SA's Facebook page, which alerts the Verulam and Phoenix communities of criminal activities in their areas. Padayachee's 84 online friends are relatives, policemen and friends from Phoenix, the neighbourhood in which he lived and at one stage worked as a security guard. Read More. |
