LINCOLN -- A Nebraska Department of Correctional Services staff member at the Nebraska State Penitentiary was assaulted by an inmate Tuesday, according to a press release from the department. The officer was transported to a local medical facility with minor injuries before being released. The names of the staff member and inmate are not being released at this time pending the completion of an investigation. Read More. |
