SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — The Illinois Supreme Court has agreed to hear an appeal of the murder conviction of former suburban Chicago police officer Drew Peterson. The ex-Bolingbrook sergeant is serving 38 years in prison for the bathtub drowning death of ex-wife Kathleen Savio. The Third District Appellate Court ruled in November evidence against Peterson was sufficient to show he killed Savio, whose body was found in her suburban Chicago home.
