| Inmate guilty of assaulting two Monroe County prison guards |

A Monroe County inmate was found guilty Wednesday, March 30, of assaulting two prison guards last year, the Monroe County District Attorney's Office said Monday. Victor Soto, 23, was found guilty of two counts of aggravated assault, a felony, and two counts of simple assault, a misdemeanor. On Sept. 1, 2015, Soto, who was an inmate at the Monroe County Correctional Facility, assaulted two prison guards. While Soto was showering, he came out of the shower and threw an unknown liquid from a drink container on an officer. Another officer then tried to restrain Soto when he put up a fight.
