Department of Corrections hires on-the-spot at job fair |

The Department of Corrections looked for Southwest Georgians to fill a couple hundred job openings they have. Ten different prisons — Autry, Calhoun, Dodge, Dooly, Lee, Macon, Pulaski, Rutledge, Valdosta and Wilcox — were represented at the job fair at Albany Tech on Tuesday. The event was a one-stop shop, where people could apply, interview and get offered a job all in one day. They also had to take written and physical examinations — including a push-up, sit-up and mile run test — as part of the process. Read More. |
