Inmate gives birth in cell at Franklin County Regional Jail |

FRANKFORT, Ky. – A Franklin County Regional Jail inmate gave birth in her cell Tuesday morning, Jailer Rick Rogers told The State Journal. The 28-year-old woman, who was eight months pregnant, was being held in the jail’s booking area where medical staff had been monitoring her. Deputy jailers discovered she had given birth during rounds at 8 a.m. The newspaper reported that the inmate, identified by court documents as Kelsey G. Love of New Albany, Indiana, was transported with the infant to Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Read More. |
