| Lorain County Adult Probation Department gets state award |

ELYRIA — The Lorain County Adult Probation Department was awarded the 2017 Clifford Skeen Award by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. The Adult Probation Department will receive the award in recognition of its programming and dedication to serving the offenders on its caseloads. Chief probation Officer Beth Cwalina said she “credits her staff for their hard work, the officers’ dedication to addressing the needs of offenders, as well as community involvement.” “The staff at Adult Probation works as a team and is committed to excellence in corrections through programming, cognitive behavioral changes and offering treatment options,” Cwalina said. “Our goal is to facilitate rehabilitative efforts for offenders, which in turn results in a safer environment for the residents of Lorain County.” Read More. |
