Police: Lincoln inmate attempts escape, gas station employee assists with arrest |

Lincoln gas station employees helped to stop the attempted escape of a 17-year-old inmate Tuesday afternoon, police said. The inmate was being transported from court back to the youth attention center when police said she tore out a plastic screen in the cage area and began kicking out the window. The officer pulled over at a gas station near 6th and South streets, and the inmate fell to the ground, police said. Read More. |
