As the Physician Assistant/Nurse Practioner you will provide diagnostic, therapeutic and medical procedures, within statutory and regulatory provisions, for assigned patients; elicits medical history, performs physical examinations; stabilizes and manages medical and surgical emergencies; recognizes cases to be referred to physician; telephonic consultation; and performs other duties appropriate to the assignment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs)

KNOWLEDGE: Of techniques in collecting medical case history and documentation; specific observations and examination procedures; diagnostic methodology, ordering and interpreting laboratory studies; therapeutic principles, practices and techniques; rules and regulations limiting procedures established by State relative to regulatory agencies. 

SKILL: In taking and monitoring vital signs; taking medical history and completing physical examination; interpreting and evaluating laboratory tests, X-rays, EKGs; suturing, splint and casting, and minor surgical procedures; diagnosing illness/disease and injury; and treating the individual and follow up care. 

ABILITY: To establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and health associates.

SPECIAL SELECTION FACTOR: 
Must possess a license and/or certification for a Physician Assistant approved by the Joint Board of Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioner approved by the Arizona Board of Nursing. Applicant must provide license number on resume and a copy of the license at time of interview.

This position will be responsible for providing general psychiatric care at the institution; evaluating and treating urgent psychiatric problems; managing and directing a team of mental health professionals; obtaining patient history and reviewing physical to determine appropriate treatment plan for patient's complaint; making diagnosis and recommendation for treatment; writing prescriptions and completing x-rays and lab forms as required; documenting encounters in medical records; providing clinical and administrative performance evaluations; assigning psychiatric staff to clinical schedule; participating in peer chart reviews for psychiatrist supervisors; scheduling and presiding over psychotropic medication review board hearings; attending required training; representing the psychiatry unit at intuitional meetings;  participating in clinical staff meetings with mental health treatment team; providing direction and assistance to health services staff; and performing other duties appropriate to the assignment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs): 

KNOWLEDGE: Of advanced nature and causes of mental illness; evaluation and measurement instruments and techniques; current medications and treatment regimens for psychiatric disorders; interdisciplinary team operations; and supervisory techniques and management methods.

SKILL: In providing appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic services to inmates with both acute and chronic psychiatric conditions; making appropriate referrals to outside specialists or hospitals; working within a multidiscipline mental health treatment team; oral and written communication; time management; and decision making; problem solving; and interpersonal relations.

ABILITY: To work in a prison environment; establish solid working relationships; process data; use personal computers and software; process data; learn and adhere to policies and procedures; and provide quality psychiatric care.

SPECIAL SELECTION FACTOR: Must possess a doctoral degree in psychiatry appropriate to the area of assignment from an accredited college or university; AND two years of post-doctorate experience appropriate to the area of assignment; AND be licensed as a Psychiatrist in the State of Arizona, applicant must provide license number on resume and a copy at time of interview.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE: Will possess experience providing mental health services in a correctional setting and/or previous experience with the Arizona Department of Corrections.

Employment is contingent on the successful applicant passing a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.

Positions in this classification participate in the Correctional Officer Retirement Plan (CORP).

    <description>Deputy Warden of a multi-custody correctional facility with an offender population of approximately 1850 adult male felons in Hutchinson, Kansas.  Will be responsible for managing, supervising and coordinating any one of the facilities 3 major departments, Operations, Programs or Support Services.  Actual assignment will be based upon strengths and skills possessed by the incumbents based upon evaluation by the facility Warden.  
Minimum Qualifications:  A bachelor&#8217;s degree with major coursework in criminal justice, the social sciences, the behavioral sciences, or public administration and five years of experience in the field of corrections, including at least three years of supervisory and administrative/management experience.  Additional experience may be substituted for the required education as determined relevant by the agency
Performance Standards:  Knowledge of Department of Corrections and institutional policies, procedures, administrative regulations, and operational memorandum.  Knowledge of the attitudes, problems, and behavior of individuals under restraints.  Knowledge of the methods, procedures, and practices of controlling and supervising inmates confined to a corrections institution.  Knowledge of institutional general orders, state and departmental regulations, policies, and procedures.  Knowledge of the principles and practices of governmental, fiscal, and personnel administration.  Knowledge of modern concepts, principles, and practices related to the rehabilitation of criminal offenders.  
Ability to communicate information effectively and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with inmates, subordinate employees, other KDOC officials and representatives of public and private agencies.  Ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations and Departmental and Institutional policies and procedures and to effectively analyze situations and to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting departmental policies and procedures.  Ability to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate staff.  Ability to formulate policies and procedures for assigned areas.  .  Ability to supervise the work of subordinate professional, technical, and supervisory personnel.  Ability to assume the role of Warden during their absence and supervise all operations and programs of an entire correctional institution.

    <description>SUMMARY

The position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships within and outside the state of Nevada, managing customer issues, coordinating the admission process, gathering data on competitors, and providing program information to to all decision makers as well as those who have influence on placement decisions.

One part time employee will be located in Las Vegas, NV. and one part time employee will be located in Montana They can either 1)work from their home or 2) out of the ACB facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Coordinate appropriate services in the best interest of the client, family members, community, and outside referral agencies.

Establish and maintain on-going relationships with those individuals within designated territory to increase their use of Abraxas' programs.

Develop knowledge of Abraxas' programs, including similarities and differences among the programs and accreditations and a basic understanding of funding streams.  Gain familiarity with services provided by the competitors.

Gather and disseminate appropriate information relevant to improving/expanding services within designated territory.

Educate customers on programs and services, distribute marketing materials, and provide updates regarding services and current events.

Conduct needs assessments in territory to assess growth opportunities.

maintain visibility and contact with customers by attending court hearings, placement meetings, and office visits.  Be accessible to customers and programs by phone and email.

Manage customer issues/complaints in a timely manner by gathering the facts, communicating with program management, and being responsible to their needs.

Screen all referrals and collect paperwork required for admissions (court order/ immunizations/applications, etc.)

Maintain written and oral communication with programs as it relates to referral status, court dates, transportation, required paperwork and interview.

Sumit weekly statistics that includes accurate information regarding referral activity.

Sumbit monthly marketing reports that pertain to information such as competition, customer status, funding changes, and customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction gathered in assigned territory.

Meet program budgeted and/or forcasted utilization.

Maintain marketing binder &amp; marketing schedule.  Distribut weekly bed-openings to customers.

Update weekly program communications.

Participate on weekly department conference calls.

Attend management meetings, conferences and trainings.

Represent the company in territory and conferences maintaining proper dress and professionalism at all times.

Meet established individual and group quarterly goals.

Support Abraxas' philosophy and mission and promote the Seven Key Principles of Care.

Perform other duties as required.

&lt;li&gt;Monitors inmate telephone calls as needed;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Operates the closed circuit TV (CCTV) system;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Logs information relating to radio and key assignments and maintenance requests; and&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Reports existing and potential safety hazards and security threats, disturbances, and irregularities to the shift supervisor.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Knowledge of and ability to use a personal computer; &lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt; STG International, Inc is seeking qualified candidates for Mental Health Registered Nurse positions. These candidates must be flexible to provide services 24 hours a day, every day of the year for either an 8-hour or 12-hour period.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This position requires the applicant to provide proof of U.S. citizenship to work at the government facility. Applicants are required to complete a professional credentialing and background verification process, which can take 30 - 90 days, prior to commencement of employment.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;b&gt; Required Skills: &lt;/b&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Perform a full range of RN duties in accordance with assignment under the task order, including:  triage; patient assessment and monitoring; use of patient monitoring and treatment equipment; appropriate nursing care, procedures, and treatments; execution of physicians&#8217; orders within the guidelines of standard nursing practice; documentation of patient care and observations; and patient education and emotional support.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Provide professional nursing care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and continuous manner.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Assess each patient and perform triage duties as assigned.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Formulate and carry out a goal directed plan of care which based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes and which is prioritized according to patient needs and available resources including time, personnel, equipment, and supplies.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;b&gt; Experience Required: &lt;/b&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Possess education as follows:  Either (a), a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing; or (b) a Diploma Graduate in Nursing; or (c) an Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited university.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Possess a degree or diploma from a NLNAC accredited program as well as a minimum of two years of RN experience in a mental health unit within the preceding three years OR two years of comparable experience within the preceding three years in a related mental health patient care setting.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Possess and maintain a current, unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Prior to commencing patient care services under this contract, contractor nurses must attend a 2-hour lecture on IV certification.  Contract nurses must then obtain certifications (e.g., IV, medications and blood administration) in accordance with clinic nursing service and command policy not later than 60 days after commencement of services, including MTF observation of three completed IV sticks during this time.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the personnel, supply, and equipment capabilities of the facility.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Counsel patients regarding appropriate use of medications.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Review patient profiles at the time of dispensing in order to closely monitor medication therapy.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ensure prescription directions for use, dose, medication interactions, therapeutic duplications or overlaps, allergy information, age specific dosage, and other pertinent data are appropriate for individual patients.  Intervention with providers shall be made for noted discrepancy of above listed items.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Compound medications as required.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ensure accuracy of all pharmaceutical products prepared or processed by technical staff.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Work closely with clinical staff in developing patient wellness programs such as smoking cessation programs and asthma classes.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Provide medication information to the clinical staff as required.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Provide medication and healthcare related in service training to clinical staff on new medications on the market; appropriate use of medications; comparison of current medication therapies; and other topics as deemed appropriate by the department head.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Provide clinical direction of corpsmen and pharmacy technicians and provide input into job performance evaluations.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Supervise inventory control of all pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy, especially scheduled pharmaceuticals, and ensure pharmacy security.  Maintain appropriate records and security of all scheduled controlled substances according to applicable regulations.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Consult with other specialty practitioners who have been referred for pharmaceutical services.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ensure that work areas are clean and safe according to applicable regulations.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Document significant medication interactions, and pharmacy interactions with prescribers.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Execute drug utilization reviews (DURs) as deemed necessary.&lt;/li&gt;
